Ramsbottom, Goodyear-Anderson Sign with Jackets

BILLINGS, Mont- Montana State University Billings Head Tennis Coach, Lew Kosich, has signed two local Billings players for the 2014-2015 season.

Ricquel Ramsbottom and Jade Goodyear-Anderson are both Billings West products and are two of the top recruits in the State.

Ramsbottom, the daughter of Rick and Janel Ramsbottom, brings an impressive resume to MSUB. Her sophomore year she was the AA Singles Eastern Divisional Champion. Her junior year she was named team captain and was again a part of the best doubles team in the East being crowned AA Doubles Divisional Champion which led to her being a semi-finalist at state in 2012. Ramsbottom plans to major in Nursing.

Goodyear-Anderson also brings an impressive list of accomplishments. Her freshman year she played number three doubles for the Bears, finishing in the top four in AA divisional and made it to the second round of the State AA tournament. She then switched to singles for her sophomore campaign in which she finished second in divisional and made it to the second round at state. In her junior year she one upped her prior year's performance, finished first divisionally and again made it to the second round at state in which she played a 3.5 hour match and received the Billings West "greatest match played" of the year. Goodyear-Anderson plans on majoring in Speech Therapy.

"We are excited to have signed Jade and Ricquel to play for the Yellowjacket Women's Tennis team," Head Coach Lew Kosich said." They are stalwarts of the West high team and Montana Junior tennis. I expect them both to make an impact on the 2014-2015 season."
