Billings, Mont. – Montana State Billings used a strong attack to quiet Carroll College; scoring two goals in the first half and one in the second, to walk away with a 3-0 shutout exhibition victory.
 
Chelsea Shuman broke up the competitive back and forth between the Yellowjackets and Fighting Saints, scoring the games' first goal in the 27^th minute. Shuman struck a high arching shot from 40 yards out to land over the outstretched arms of Carroll's Danielle Turley.
 
MSUB kept the pressure on as Jackie Hill hoped to give the Jackets a two goal lead but Turley made a quality save on the play (32:49).
 
MSU Billings would find success three minutes later as sophomore forward Alisa Sagdahl scored on a free kick from 20 yards deep (35:41).
 
The Fighting Saints offense was neutralized by a stout Yellowjackets defense, only allowing one shot in the first half by Dennis McKinley (5:30) that was blocked by a MSUB defender. MSU Billings held the 2-0 lead heading into the break.
 
The second half was equally lopsided, with Carroll being out shot by the Jackets 9-3. Briana Carlin relieved Turley at 57:25 and allowed the game's final goal. Freshman Dana Lubieniecki received a beautiful cross from Sagdahl, and sent home a shot from 10 yards out (67:26).
 
Despite giving up a score, Carlin registered two saves in the match and Turley recorded three.
 
Kaylee Kimmet (45:00) started between the pipes for MSUB, with Megan Wade (30:41) and Krystal Daniels (13:11) also receiving time. Neither goalkeeper faced pressure as zero saves were notched in the shutout win.
 
MSUB's first official contest of the 2013 season is Sept. 7 in St. George, Utah against Dixie State University.
