BILLINGS, Mont. – Montana State University Billings Athletic Director has announced the appointment of Rebecca King as the Interim Head Men's and Women's Tennis coach for the upcoming year.

"We are pleased Becky King has accepted our offer to become the Interim Head Men's and Women's Tennis Coach for the upcoming 14-15 year," Montague said. "Coach King will bring stability, familiarity, passion, and tennis coaching experience to our programs during this transitional time.  We are extremely confident in her ability to lead and mentor our tennis student-athletes in the classroom and on the court."

For the past six years, King has served as the MSUB tennis center director.  She was responsible for all operations, budgeting, and coordinating league play while worked closely with the head coach.

Before joining MSUB, King was an assistant at Billings Central High School for three years and spent time as the Assistant coach for Helena High School from 2004-2007.  She brings 11 years of coaching experience and is certified by the USTA as well.

"I am very excited and honored to take on this new position at MSUB," coach King said.  "Coaching and playing the sport of tennis have always been a large part of my life, and I can't wait to begin working with the teams."

"Becky has been an integral part of our athletics staff for the past 6 years, and we are excited for her to make the jump to coach," Montague said.  "We expect this to be a very smooth and positive transition for her and the student-athletes."

King will begin her role as Head Coach on July 1st and be responsible for all aspects of the program.   A National search for a permanent head coach will begin in May of 2015.
