BOULDER, Colo. – The MSUB women's cross country team competed at the Rocky Mountain Shootout hosted by the University of Colorado Saturday on the course at the Buffalo Ranch.

Bailey Bomar had her best finish as a Yellowjacket with a second place team result for Montana State Billings. The graduate of Billings West High School, covered the 5.8K course in 25:22 for 48
th place overall.

Montana State University Billings was led by senior
Rio Frame finishing in 37
th place in 24:36.

Host Colorado took the top four spots with the team's fifth runner placing sixth to win the team competition. Erin Clark was the individual winner and the only competitor to finish under the 20 minute mark at 19:54.

In third for the Yellowjackets,
Nikki Aiken placed 55
th in 25:39. MSUB's fourth and fifth runners continue to close the gap on the top trio. Freshman
Lydia Foster was 62
nd in 26:18 followed by
Catrina Schuchard at 67
th in 26:48.
Sarah Beatty was a step behind Schuchard in 68
th in 25:59.
Ella McKenzie (77
th, 27:56) and
Krysten Mossburg (84
th, 29:37) completed MSUB's team.

"I though Bailey ran a really good race today," MSUB head coach
Dave Coppock said. "The team worked hard today on a tough course. Our fourth and fifth runners Lydia and Catrina are really starting to move up on the team which is great to see."

UP NEXT: MSU Billings will host the Yellowjacket Open on Saturday, Oct. 8, on the course at Riverfront Park. The women will run a 5K distance beginning at 10 a.m.
