BILLINGS, Mont. – The four newest members of the Montana State University Billings Athletics Hall of Fame & Distinction were inducted on Friday evening, in a ceremony that took place at the Hilton Garden Inn.
Â
Becky (Fry) Abrams, Kalli (Stanhope) Allen, Carly (Valentine) Andre, and Jerett Skrifvars were honored among all-time Yellowjacket greats, and were presented with plaques commemorating their legacy at MSUB. The ceremony was hosted by KTVQ sports editor Scott Breen, and was the 29th annual running of the event which was founded in 1990.
Â
"When you think about the 91 years of athletics at our university, having just 159 members in our hall of fame makes this honor very special," said MSUB director of athletics Krista Montague during a welcoming statement Friday night. "Many have come before us and many have come after, but this is indeed a true honor."

Abrams, who competed in tennis at MSUB from 2002-05, was introduced by former Yellowjacket head coach Jerry Peach. "I'd like to thank MSU Billings, and this is a beautiful ceremony that I'm very grateful to be part of," said Abrams who went on to thank several of her professors and teammates during her speech. "I am without a doubt so thankful that I came to MSUB, earned an education, and played four years of collegiate tennis here."
Â
Competing under Coach Peach for four seasons, Abrams (then Becky Fry) finished her tennis career No. 2 in MSUB history with 50 singles victories. She is also tied for the third-most doubles wins in school history with 23, giving her the second-most overall wins as a Yellowjacket with 73.
Â
In addition to Abrams' success as an athlete, she completed a grade point average of 4.0 over her junior and senior seasons. After earning her master's degree, Abrams is now an athletic trainer at Billings Clinic Orthopedic and Sports Medicine. She and her husband Drew Abrams reside in Billings with their two daughters Piper (8) and Emmy (5).Â
Allen was a standout in both women's basketball and women's golf from 2008-12, and was introduced by current Yellowjacket head coach
Kevin Woodin. "Recently I have thought of myself as being very lucky, and in many cases I made my own luck," Allen commented during her acceptance speech. "One of the first goals I set in high school was to get an athletic scholarship from a four-year school, and I was lucky enough to get a call from Coach Woodin. I am very lucky to have made friends for life because my parents chose to put me into athletics in the first place."
