Montana State University Billings Athletics

Civic engagement and volunteerism are key components to a student's experience at MSU Billings. Our student-athletes extend their time and talents beyond the classroom and their collegiate sports to reach out and volunteer within the Billings community. We are excited to showcase the many ways our student-athletes give back to the community. Since 2015, student-athletes have made an economic impact of $30.5 million volunteering in the community. In 2019-20, MSU Billings finished 29th among all Division II school Nationally in overall community service hours served.

2019-20 Academic Year

@MSUBWBB nominated for the Division II Award of Excellence December, 2019 The Yellowjacket Women's Basketball team was nominated for the Elementary School Game in which the team volunteered with several local Elementary Schools and then hosted a special game with kids in attendance at Alterowitz Gymnasium.

2017-18 Academic Year

	@MSUBWBB gives through Angel Tree program December 8, 2017 The Yellowjacket women's basketball team donated presents through the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program.
	@MSUBMSoc visits Edgewood Memory Care December 4, 2017 The Yellowjacket men's soccer team visited patients at Edgewood Memory Care who are battling Alzheimer's disease, and spent time playing Bingo and interacting with the group.
	@MSUBSports admins lend a hand a Salvation Army's Night on the Van July 26, 2017 A handful of MSUB athletics administrators helped out with the Salvation Army's Night on the Van program, serving meals to those in need throughout Billings. These Yellowjackets helped serve more than 400 meals throughout their evening of service.

	@MSUBMSoc Volunteers at Movers and Shakers Sept. 4, 2016 MSUB's men's soccer team spent the day helping fellow students move into their residence hall rooms. An annual tradition focused on the 'Jackets for 'Jackets campaign, Movers and Shakers helps students get acquainted with one another on their first day at school.
