Newly named Avitus Group Stadium following the 2014 season, the field sits on the main campus of MSU Billings and has been the home of the Yellowjacket softball team since 2002. The field is also used for intramural softball. Avitus Group Stadium is situated just north of the PE Building, which houses Alterowitz Gym and the locker room facilities. The installation of bullpens was completed prior to the beginning of the 2015 season. The field underwent a small renovation during the summer of 2010, replacing the drainage system and the entire infield. The dirt used in the renovation came from the same spot that is used for the infield dirt at Coors Field, home of MLB's Colorado Rockies. Yellowjacket-branded padding was installed on the backstop prior to the 2016 season as well. In 2023, the fence surrounding the field was raised, along with the replacement of the foul poles and addition of the batter's eye in centerfield.
