Hayden Foltz begins his fourth year as Assistant Athletic Director for Communications in 2026-27.
Foltz oversees the Yellowjackets' gameday operations, sports communications, and media relations, with primary responsibilities for volleyball, men's and women's golf, men's basketball, and baseball.
Foltz also served as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) advisor for the past two years, helping secure a $3,000 annual stipend to enhance gameday atmosphere and increase campus engagement. The funding marked the first time in the committee's history that MSUB SAAC received dedicated financial support, allowing the group to expand its impact on the student-athlete experience.
In the 2025-26 academic year, Foltz continued to showcase his graphic design at the national level, being recognized as a finalist for the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Creative & Digital Design Contest for the second straight season. His portfolio ranked second place in all of Division II and ranked 5th across all of DII, DIII, and NAIA.
In the 2024-25 academic year, Foltz was recognized as a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Finalist for Designer of the Year in the Creative & Digital Design Contests, placing him among the top 10 in the college division (DII, DIII, NAIA) out of more than 2,100 entries across all divisions. Also in the college division, his baseball gameday graphic ranked 4th overall, while his women’s golf gameday graphic placed 7th. Within Division II, his baseball graphic earned 2nd place, his women’s golf graphic took 3rd, and his men’s basketball graphic ranked 12th.
Foltz served on the D2CSC West Region Men's Basketball Committee from 2024-25 and currently serves on the NCBWA West Region Baseball Committee which is a media poll that ranks the top teams in the west region.
Prior to his position for MSUB Athletic Administration, Foltz graduated from MSU Billings with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. During his time as a Student-Athlete he completed an internship for the Athletic Department in operations and communications.
Foltz played on the baseball team for the Yellowjackets and was GNAC All-Conference for all three years he competed. He was also awarded Academic All-GNAC all three years, and Academic All-West Region in 2023.
Foltz was a member of Student Athlete Advisory Commitee (SAAC) and was awarded Male SAAC Athlete of the Year in 2022 and the Yellowjacket Award for Service in 2023 for the Atheltic Department Awards.
Before attending MSUB, Foltz graduated from the College of Southern Idaho with an Associates of Arts Degree while playing baseball. He was made the CSI President's List as well as the Dean's List in (2017-2019). As a freshman for the Golden Eagles, Foltz helped CSI make a third place finish at the Junior College World Series.
Foltz lives in Billings, MT with his wife, Mya Foltz.
